A castle with history

Henkenshage Castle dates back to the 14th century and has had many owners throughout the centuries. Originally built as a defensive structure, the castle later transformed into an elegant country house. Its rich history is still palpable in every stone.

Today, Henkenshage Castle is an exclusive event venue. The combination of authentic architecture and modern facilities makes it the perfect place for your wedding or anniversary.

From intimate ceremony to grand party
Van Coehoorn Hall
Capacity: up to 60 people
The castle's main hall is perfect for your ceremony. High ceilings, large windows, and authentic details create a solemn atmosphere. After the ceremony, you can proceed directly to the reception in the same room.
Courtyard
Capacity: up to 175 people
On our courtyard terrace, you and your company can enjoy a drink, a snack, and your special occasion. The terrace is wonderfully sunny, which is especially pleasant during the summer months.
Castle garden
Capacity: flexible
The beautiful garden surrounding the castle is perfect for:

Bridal suite
Overnight stay for 2 people
Spend the night in an authentic suite in the castle. Complete with a king-size bed, seating area, and luxury bathroom. The perfect end to your wedding day.
Jean Philippe room
Capacity: up to 80 people
The second room is the General Jean Philippe Room, also known as the dining room. The festive dinner is usually served here.

At La Casserole, we offer various delicious menus. You can choose from various barbecue menus, buffets, three, four, five, etc. course menus, a walking dinner, or a shared dinner.
The Carriage House
Capacity: up to 350 people
Finally, we have Het Koetshuis, where various castle events take place, such as wedding parties, receptions, gala parties, or special theme parties.

All rooms are transformed according to your wishes and will look beautiful.
Back patio
Capacity: up to 70 people
On the back terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the park behind.

Here, you can enjoy delicious snacks, drinks, and special occasions with a select group.

The surroundings, surrounded by wooded areas, offer a soothing atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation.
